The Last Few Days

This whole experience with Kaden in the hospital has been one of the most humbling things I have ever been through. Having to rely on so many other people to help has been difficult for me and having to put all my faith in the Lord that my son will get through this OK has also been a trial. But I know I've been humbled this way because these are my weakness's that I so badly needed to work on. I do know that the Lord has all this in his hands, and that he does work in mysterious ways, but I couldn't be more greatful for all the blessings I've been receiving through all of this.
Kaden has been doing so good, They've been making him do a lot of walking, which he has absolutely hated, but he is amazing and always finishes. They started him on clear liquids yesterday and he didn't handle it to well and pretty much threw up everything that he put in his stomach. But the Doctors and nurses weren't to concerned and moved him to whatever he can eat today. He didn't eat a whole lot, but also didn't throw up, which is great news. The doctor did tells us that we may possibly be able to leave tomorrow, we'll see.
The Children's Miracle Network came to the hospital today and put on a little carnival for the kids. Kaden would only do two things, Golf, and the Fish Pond. He did each one at lease 10 times, but they didn't care and they gave him a prize every time, he loved it. They also had a special guest show up...Swoop came to visit the kids.
Funny story...a couple days ago Dan said "what if Swoop came to visit in the hospital, we can't let Kaden see him." Dan is a die hard BYU fan. I told him "if swoop comes then Kaden can see him, If Cosmo was there then he could see him." Cosmo didn't show, and Swoop was there, and as you can see Kaden loved him and thought he was a lot of fun. By the way, Dan really was just messing around about Kaden meeting Swoop, he really didn't care.

Kaden has been amazing and he is almost completely recovered. We're not there yet, but we're close. Thank you so much everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Oh Kaden, what a sweet boy. He looks so happy in that picture with Swoop. I love those hospital pants, I've never seen that before. If I'm ever in the hospital, I want those!
